The new line of Droid smartphones will be announced on October 27. Motorola and Verizon have sent out press invites for a joint event, which is scheduled for that date in New York City. As you can see in the image above, the invite carries a tagline of "everything you expect from a phone will change," and the word 'DROIDs' suggests that more than one Droid-branded device will be unveiled.
